Integrations & Data Migration

Connections between the systems you keep, and rehearsed migrations out of the ones you are leaving.

The problemThe systems do not exchange data, and moving off the old one feels risky.

Most schedule risk sits in integrations and data migration, so we handle them early. We profile your data before writing code, rehearse the migration on copies until the control totals match, and build integrations that report failures and retry instead of drifting out of sync.

§ 01What we build

What we build

  1. 01

    Data audit and mapping

Duplicates, blanks and inconsistent codes found and decided on, and every field mapped from old to new, with the business signing off.

  2. 02

    Rehearsed migration

Repeatable load scripts run on copies and reconciled to control totals before cut-over. Open transactions move; history is moved or archived by a rule you set.

  3. 03

    API and webhook integrations

Two-way syncs with retries, unique message IDs to prevent duplicates, and alerts to a named person after repeated failures. Where an API is weak, a vendor import file or a database routine.

  4. 04

    File exchange

Scheduled CSV, Excel and flat-file imports and exports for partners who work that way.

  5. 05

    E-commerce and marketplace connectors

Orders, stock and tracking exchanged with storefronts and marketplaces through their APIs (for example Shopify, Amazon and Walmart), plus shipping-label services.

  6. 06

    Cut-over plan

A written run-sheet, a freeze window, a rollback point and named sign-off roles.

§ 02Release one

What ships first

  1. 01Data audit report with decisions
  2. 02One integration or one migration set, end to end
  3. 03Reconciliation report against control totals
  4. 04Monitoring dashboard for sync health

Scope is fixed in the proposal at the end of discovery. How a project runs

How we would judge it

  • Control totals matched at cut-over
  • Sync failures caught before a user reports them
  • Manual re-keying hours removed
  • Duplicates created by integrations
§ 03Connects to

Works with what you already run

  • REST and GraphQL APIs
  • CSV, Excel and flat files
  • Databases and legacy exports
  • Webhooks and queues
  • Storefront and marketplace APIs
§ 04What we need from you

Before we start

  • Read access to source systems, or complete exports
  • Someone who knows what the old data means
  • Agreement on a freeze window for go-live

What we do not build, and when to buy instead

We do not run an EDI network or a hosted integration platform for you to rent. We build integrations, and where a VAN or EDI provider is the right connection, we integrate with theirs.

§ 05Questions

Questions about Integrations & Data Migration

How long does a migration take?

Data quality drives it far more than data volume. The audit gives a range. We do not guess before seeing your data.

What if the migration fails on launch day?

We rehearse at least twice on copies and keep a rollback point. If reconciliation fails on the day and the difference cannot be explained, we roll back and reschedule.

What do you migrate: history or only open items?

Open transactions, current balances and master data always. History is either moved, or archived and searchable, depending on what you need for audits and customer service.

Can you connect a system with no API?

Often through database access, scheduled file exports or a vendor import format. Screen automation is a last resort.
